We are honored to host Prof. Gérard G. Medioni, Vice President and Distinguished Scientist at Amazon. Prof. Medioni is also Professor Emeritus at University of Southern California (USC) and an elected member of the United States National Academy of Engineering.
Over a 40+ year career in computer vision, he has helped lead the AI and computer vision innovations behind Amazon’s Just Walk Out checkout-free technology.
He holds 135 patents and is a Fellow of IEEE, IAPR, AAAI, and ACM.
In this session, Prof. Medioni will share insights into how advanced technologies and innovation shape the viewing experience on Prime Video, offering a unique perspective from one of the leading voices in computer vision and large-scale AI systems.
